Job Description:

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Castleford area. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT C+E) to join the team on days.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start times.

Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport empty pallets to and from designated locations.
• Secure loads using ratchet straps to ensure safe transportation.
• Collaborate with onsite personnel for pallet loading and unloading activities.
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Have at least 2 years of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be accustomed to using a curtainside vehicle.
• Be proficient with the use of straps.
• Discounts at hundreds of high-street stores and supermarkets.
