Job summary

InPost UK in Coventry is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver (C+E) to join our Newstrade team. You will deliver and collect to/from locations and customer sites, helping maintain our high standards of service.

The role requires a full UK C+E licence, 12 months Class 1 driving experience, and a clean driving record. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday with a salary of £38,502.75 per year plus company benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK C+E licence (essential)
• 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Excellent driving skills
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Right To Work in the UK
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting to/from our locations and customer sites
• Comply with Driver hours and Road Transport Directive legislation
• Provide feedback to the office on loading/unloading or delays
• Drive in a safe and responsible manner
• Carry out vehicle checks to ensure safety and legality
• Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely and within legislation
• Ensure deliveries reach the customer safely, efficiently and on time
• Complete daily vehicle checks, pre- and post-shift
• Use of electronic POD and up-to-date tech (training provided)
• Assist with loading and unloading
