Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing shifts in Warrington. Afternoon starts between 10:00 and 16:00 with straight trunking to distribution centres, minimal collections and no handball.

Weekly pay and regular work are provided, with holiday pay included. Applicants must hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus good knowledge of drivers' hours and UK geography.

Qualifications

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six points on licence for minor endorsements.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time rules.
• Good UK geographical knowledge.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and flexible approach.
• Newly qualified HGV Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Straightforward trunking to distribution centres.
• Minimal collections and no handball.
• Afternoon start times between 10:00 and 16:00.
• Securing loads and delivering safely.
• Reporting vehicle defects to the Transport Office.
• Regular, ongoing work.
