HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted In STOCKTON-ON-TEES!

Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers, HGV Drivers, LGV Class 1 Drivers, LGV Drivers, Class 1 Drivers working on an Ad Hoc – Temporary basis at our Eddie Stobart Stockton-On-Tees depot.

Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, providing the best HGV experience and top-range vehicles.

***6 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required***

Location: Stockton-On-Tees, TS18 2SZ

Working Hours:

• Ad Hoc – Temporary Shifts Available

Pay Rate:

Competitive, based on experience

About this role:

• Ambient work – Driving ambient products that do not require temperature checks.
• Trunking – Regular route driving, including long haul transportation between distribution hubs.
• Store Delivery – Transporting goods from distribution centers to stores.
• General haulage – Transporting various goods between locations.
• Manual handling – Physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods during loading and unloading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and paperwork in compliance with policies and legal standards.
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE use and health and safety regulations.

About You:

• Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence with at least 6 months of experience.
• No more than 6 points on your license; no DD/DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understanding of Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Ability to perform vehicle checks and report defects.
• Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements.
