Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers / HGV Drivers / LGV Class 1 Drivers / LGV Drivers / Class 1 Drivers working on an Ad Hoc – Temporary basis at our Eddie Stobart Rugby depot.

Requirements:

***6 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required***

Working Hours:

• Ad Hoc – Temporary Shifts Available

Pay Rate:

• Saturday Days and Nights: £22.00 P/hr Including Holiday Pay
• Sunday Days and Nights: £24.00 P/hr Including Holiday Pay

About this role:

• Ambient work – Driving ambient products that do not require temperature checks.
• Trunking – Regular routes, including long haul transportation between distribution hubs.
• General haulage – Transporting various goods between locations.
• Manual handling – Physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods during loading/unloading.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and paperwork in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and health and safety regulations.

About You:

• Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have at least 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to perform vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
