Job summary

Culina Group (CML) is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers in Telford for a permanent night-shift role across the UK with a focus on long-life chilled operations. You will join a trusted logistics team, delivering to key retail customers and maintaining high professional standards on every run.

The role includes 5 on 3 off nights or similar, with start times between 18:00 and 03:00, and potential night-out runs. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, compliance and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence is required.
• Current DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered with the right attitude.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD/DR convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
• Report to Transport team at shift start and update delays or issues.
• Complete paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our CML team in Telford, supporting our Long-Life Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent night driving role offering full-time stability, and the opportunity to be part of a trusted logistics operation. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available

• 5 on 3 off Nights (start time between 18:00 – 03:00)

Due to the nature of the products being delivered, our drivers will have 3 hour start windows to ensure they are flexible depending on volume

Pay rates

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with OTE earnings up to £52000 depending on shift pattern, overtime and applicable allowances.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
