Job summary

Culina is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a permanent, full-time position in Desborough. This 24/7 operation delivers palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide, with shifts of 4 on 4 off and Monday to Friday days.

You will ensure safe deliveries, accurate paperwork, and adherence to tachograph rules. Paid at £16.19 per hour for days, with supplements and overtime paid at the hourly rate plus 30%.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence held
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; new pass drivers not accepted
• DCPC and Tachograph cards current

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres; most deliveries via backdoor tip.
• Operate box trailers and curtain-sided trailers (curtainsiders).
• Occasional night out may be required.
• Report delays or load discrepancies to Transport team at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
