Job summary

GXO is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers to join our busy transport team in Runcorn. You will be delivering to Screwfix stores nationwide and ensuring timely, accurate documentation.

We offer a salary of up to £44,838.43 per annum plus unsocial premiums, 31 days holiday, a company pension, cycle to work, onsite parking and online discounts. Full CPC, tachograph card and clean licence required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence with full CPC qualification.
• Must hold a valid digital tachograph card.
• No more than 7 points on licence.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and customer-facing.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and warehouse work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of consignments to Screwfix stores nationwide.
• Consistently ensure customer expectations are met.
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately.
• Adhere to time restrictions and driving regulations.
• Inter-site and UK-wide supplier collections and deliveries.

Are you a fully qualified Driver? Are you looking to represent a rapidly growing company? Are you great at time keeping? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers, to join our busy and evolving transport team in Runcorn. You'll be working for a leading logistics company and involved in ensuring that the trade counters across the country have sufficient stocks in order to supply their customer's needs. Everything from screws to lawn mowers to the kitchen sink!

Our available starting times are as follows!

Monday - Friday

10 hour shifts starting at 16:00 , 17:00 & 18:00

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £44,838.43per annum plus unsocial premiumsper annum and 31 days inclusive of bank holidays. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions to Screwfix stores
• Consistently ensure customer expectations are met
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each shift
• Adhere to specific time restrictions given under current legislation
• Driving activities will generally consist of inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections around the UK

What you need to be successful at GXO:

• Must have a valid Class 1 licence with a full CPC qualification
• Must hold Digital tachograph card
• Must not have more than 7 points on licence
• Strong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Experience of multi drop collection and deliveries together with experience of working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage, although full training will be provided
