Workchain in Yeovil is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a permanent day-shift role. This tramper position offers £17 per hour with weekly pay on Wednesdays, and provides a stable permanent employment opportunity in a local transport operation.

You will be responsible for safe driving, timely deliveries, vehicle checks and load securement, working closely with transport teams and customers in a busy Yeovil-based operation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence and CPC/digital tachograph card.
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience required.
• Experience with tramper work or strong willingness to undertake it.
• Good knowledge of driver-hours regulations and compliance.
• Reliable, safe and professional driving approach.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete planned deliveries and collections.
• Perform vehicle checks and report defects.
• Secure loads and complete delivery paperwork.
