Job summary

Culina Group in Telford is seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers to join our team, supporting our chilled and ambient operations and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent day-shifting role offering full-time stability. You will carry out safe, professional deliveries, complete nationwide shipments, and keep accurate paperwork and PODs, while adhering to road transport rules.

Qualifications

• Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC.
• Minimum 6 months experience driving LGV.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Adaptable and methodical approach to work/training.
• Conscientious and reliable.
• Professional and approachable.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load to meet deadlines.
• Able to work using own initiative or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and update delays or issues.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are returned.
• Follow company health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage working time in line with tachograph rules.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain professional behaviour and customer service.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available.

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our CML team in Telford, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent day driving role offering full-time stability, and the opportunity to be part of a trusted logistics operation. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

• 5on 3off Days
• Sunday to Thursday Days
• Wednesday to Sunday Days
• Shift Start Windows between 14:00 - 18:00 for all shift patterns

Due to the nature of the products being delivered, our drivers will have 3 hour start windows to ensure they are flexible depending on volume.

Pay rates

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with OTE earnings ranging from £44812 TO £56335 depending on shift pattern, overtime and applicable allowances.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres,
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.
