Location: Southam, Warwickshire
Salary: Circa £45,000 Per Annum
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Days)

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are working alongside a rapidly expanding and Leading Supplier Of Wholesale Packaging Containers as they are on the lookout for enthusiastic and motivated HGV Class 1 Drivers who are seeking a long-term opportunity. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel and immediate service leavers. This is an exciting time to join an organisation as they progress against ambitious growth plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicles for nationwide deliveries and collections
2. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance needs
3. Ensure secure loading, unloading, and safe transportation of goods
4. Adhere to all DVSA regulations, tachograph laws, and Working Time Directive
5. Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and logbooks
6. Plan routes efficiently and adapt to traffic or road conditions

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Have previous HGV Class 1 experience
2. Wagon and drag experience (desirable)
3. Be dynamic and have a professional approach
4. Demonstrate a commitment to developing your own knowledge and abilities
5. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
6. Have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
7. Be a strong team player
