Job summary

Adler & Allan is recruiting a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver based from Shaftesbury, working nationwide. This permanent, full-time role offers 48 hours plus overtime with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will operate HGV Class 1 vehicles and vacuum tankers, plan routes, complete vehicle checks, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• 12 months’ experience driving HGV Class 1
• HGV (C) licence, CPC card, Digital Tachograph card
• ADR licence is desired but not essential
• Experience operating road tankers and vacuum tankers
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Confidence working in all weather conditions and in a physically demanding role
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles and vacuum tankers
• Supporting loaders when the vehicle is stationary
• Planning routes and managing time-critical schedules
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Staying compliant with safety regulations and driving hours
• Providing excellent customer service on every job
