Job description

As one of our Class 1 driving team, your day will be extremely varied. You will be dealing with customers and managing a multitude of collections, from customers’ homes to commercial units. You will be driving a seven-car transporter and be mechanically minded as some of the vehicles you collect may not drive, are accident damaged or require winching. You will need to think on your feet and problem solve often. You are part of a successful and talented transport team, working closely with our operational and material handling team.

Location: Poole, BH12

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

Reporting to: Transport Manager

Requirements of the role:

• Collect end of life, insurance, and damaged vehicles from customers at multiple locations for return to Poole as well as depot to depot transfers
• You will be required to complete paperwork on a daily basis, so a good level of literacy and numeracy is required
• There is no shift working or weekend rotas and we offer a competitive salary and benefits
• 48 hours per week on average Monday to Friday

Experience & Essential Qualities:

• HGV Class 1 (Class CE)
• It is highly desirable but not essential that you have experience in vehicle recovery/transporter work with a semi-trailer car transporter
• 2 references and must hold in date CPC and DIGI card
• A good understanding of Drivers hours and regulations
