Job summary

Medirest Signature is looking for a dedicated Class 1 HGV Driver to join our Logistics Delivery team in Oxford. As a key representative, you'll drive a fleet of Potable Water Tankers, ensuring high customer service standards are met while adhering to safety and transport regulations. Candidates should have a full driver CPC and experience as an HGV Driver, with flexibility to work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern including days and nights.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles and support vehicles.
• Take water samples before loading and discharging them into hydrants or reservoirs.
• Ensure customer service values are upheld.

Job description

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be an ambassador for Thames Water out on the road, ensuring our values are upheld and providing first-class customer service – truly being the face of Thames Water.

You will work as part of the Logistics Delivery team, operating a fleet of Potable Water Tankers to support reactive and planned work. Within this team, you will learn to take water samples before loading and discharging them into hydrants or reservoirs.

This role requires following processes and procedures. You will drive both HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles, which have manual and automatic gearboxes, along with support vehicles such as Welfare vans.

HGV Class 1 Driver Job Details

• Working an average of 38/45 hours per week.
• This position is based at Oxford STW.
• Full training and an excellent benefits package.

Shift Patterns available:

• 45 hours per week - 4 on, 4 off, 5 on, 3 off - £49,599
• 38 hours per week - 4 on, 4 off - £42,435

What should you bring to the role?

• Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern, including days and nights.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions on your licence.
• A full driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
• Knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
• Understanding of Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
