Trent Precast Concrete Ltd., part of the JRL Group, is hiring Class 1 drivers for a construction logistics operation. Based in or near Nottingham with tramping shifts and nights out, you will transport precast concrete, steel, containers, formwork and scaffolding while ensuring loads are secured.

We offer competitive hourly rates (£19.00–£21.00) with a guaranteed minimum shift, paid night outs, and a benefits package including a pension, mobile phone allowance and uniform provision.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence and Driver CPC.
• Must have a valid digital tachograph driver card.
• Proven experience with flatbed trailers and load restraint.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of JRL Group's key divisions; Trent Precast Concrete Ltd.

The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth and as such seeks to strengthen our Precast team.

Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham.

Class 1 (HGV) Drivers Required: Tramping Positions
Locations: Elstree | Biggleswade | Sheerness | Nottingham | Birmingham | Peterborough | Newark

We are recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers to join our construction logistics operation. Positions are available for tramping drivers, with competitive hourly rates, guaranteed minimum shift pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Role

• Operating predominantly flatbed trailers
• Transporting a mix of construction products, including precast concrete, steel, containers, formwork and scaffolding, and facade panels
• Securing loads by strapping, so previous experience of load restraint is required
• Tramping positions, with multiple nights out available during the working week
• Full Time position

Pay

• Monday to Friday: £19.00 per hour, flat rate, with a minimum 10-hour shift.
• Saturday and Sunday: Enhanced Rate £21.00 per hour, with a minimum of 10 hours paid.(Applies to Hours worked.
• Night out allowance (tramping drivers): £22.50 per night.
• Parking Fees (tramping drivers): Reimbursed through expenses and repaid weekly.
• Full Time PAYE Position
• Company mobile phone provided, or a £15 per month contribution for personal phone use
