Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 driver based in the United Kingdom. You will perform trunking, general haulage and store deliveries, and you must hold a valid HGV 1/C+E licence with DCPC and Tacho cards.

Weekly pay is provided with shift patterns including nights and weekends. You will be responsible for completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keeping accurate logbooks and paperwork, and complying with health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Understand driver hours and WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Trunking, general haulage and store deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks and required paperwork.
• Follow all safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Consolidated Pay Rates (Paid Weekly)

• Weekday £16.06 per hour
• Weeknight £16.95 per hour
• Saturday £19.63 per hour
• Sunday £21.41 per hour

Fixed shift patterns available

• Friday to Tuesday 01:00
• Sunday to Thursday 00:01
• Saturday to Wednesday 02:00
• Monday to Friday 23:00
• Saturday to Wednesday 23:30.

Your Time at Work

• Trunking, general haulage and store deliveries
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation.

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
