Job summary

An established industry player is seeking Class 1 Drivers for various contracts in the North East. This role offers flexibility with options for long-term, part-time, or ad hoc work, as well as full-time positions. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating vehicles, conducting regular safety checks, and complying with driving regulations. Ideal candidates will possess a valid CAT CE licence and have at least six months of experience driving Class 1 vehicles. Pertemps are looking for Class 1 Drivers!

Location: Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland, Sunderland, Durham, Stockton

Pay Rates: £12 to £22 per hour (paid weekly on PAYE only)

What We're Looking For: Class 1 Drivers for various different contracts around the North East. We can accommodate drivers who are looking for long-term ongoing/part-time or ad hoc work. Full-time roles are also available.

Your Responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver:

1. Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
2. Perform regular vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance
3. Comply with WTD, driver hours & rest periods

What You Need as a Class 1 Driver:

1. Valid CAT CE licence/LGV 1/HGV 1 Licence
2. Minimum of 6 months' experience with Class 1 vehicles
3. Valid DQC and digital tacho cards
4. No more than six points on your licence, with no DD, CD, DR, IN, or TT codes accepted
