Job summary

Booker is recruiting for Class 1 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this role you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.

Our Class 1 jobs require handball and manual work, and can be physically demanding, including working outdoors in adverse weather. Overtime and night premium apply with a 2-week rolling rota.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1 licence and be CPC certified.
• Experience delivering to multiple drop points preferred.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service on delivery rounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stock safely to independent retailer stores.
• Handball and manual handling required in all weathers.
• Operate on a 2-week rolling rota with set weekday patterns.

We're recruiting for Class 1 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.

Our Class 1 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be a physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions ad handballing product at some of the delivery points.

• Basic Rate: £18.18 Per Hour
• Overtime - paid after 48 hours worked or extra shift - £21.45 Per Hour
• Night premium - £2.65 per hour, added to basic rate

Rota:

2 Week rolling rota,

• Week 1: Monday - Friday
• Week 2: Tuesday - Saturday
• 48 hour working week

You will need

• Class 1 Licence Holder
• Driver CPC Holder
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential
• Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (including at short notice)
