CML is seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers to join our team in Telford, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent day driving role offering full-time stability, and the opportunity to be part of a trusted logistics operation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres,
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.

Shift patterns available

• Wednesday to Sunday

Due to the nature of the products being delivered, our drivers will have 3 hour start windows to ensure they are flexible depending on volume

Pay rates

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with OTE earnings ranging from £41756 to £52000 depending on shift pattern, overtime and applicable allowances.

Qualifications

• Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC
• Minimum 6 months experience driving LGV
• Full UK Driving License
• Excellent attention to detail
