Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for the Screwfix site in Lichfield, United Kingdom. This is a full-time, permanent role with Monday to Friday schedules and flexibility for 5 days out of 7, with 10-hour shifts and varied start times between 01:00 and 13:00.

You join a busy transport operation supporting Screwfix stores nationwide while earning a competitive salary and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence with full CPC.
• Digital tachograph card required.
• No more than 7 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of goods to Screwfix stores across the UK.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and reliability.
• Complete all paperwork accurately at shift end.
• Adhere to driving schedules and legal working hours.
• Operate inter-site and intra-site deliveries as required.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team at theScrewfix site in Lichfield.

You’ll be joining a busy and evolving transport operation, working for one of the UK’s leading logistics providers. In this role, you’ll help to ensure Screwfix trade counters across the country are fully stocked and ready to meet customers’ needs. From screws and power tools to lawn mowers and even kitchen sinks, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the supply chain moving.

This is a full-time,permanentposition, predominantly working Monday to Friday (but flexibility for 5 days out of 7 required). You will be working 10-hour shifts.

Start Times ranging from : 01:00 , 02:00 , 03:00 and 13:00

We also offer over time , providing £20.80 per hour !

We’re looking to offer a salary of£44,838.43per annum plus unsocial premiums along with31 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions to Screwfix stores
• Consistently ensure customer expectations are met
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each shift
• Adhere to specific time restrictions given under current legislation
• Driving activities will generally consist of inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections around the UK

What you need to be successful at GXO:

• Must have a valid Class 1 licence with a full CPC qualification
• Must hold Digital tachograph card
• Must not have more than 7 points on licence
• Strong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Experience of multi drop collection and deliveries together with experience of working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage, although full training will be provided
