Job summary

Culina Group is hiring experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for its chilled distribution operation based in Evesham. The role offers a stable full-time position with a 4 on 4 off pattern, delivering to major retail distribution centres across the UK.

You will handle RDC deliveries, complete required paperwork, and maintain high safety and service standards on every shift. Shifts are typically around 11 hours with potential extra hours to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence and CPC as required by law.
• Experience with chilled distribution and retail RDC deliveries is preferred.
• Able to work a structured 4 on 4 off shift pattern and maintain professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive chilled distribution to main UK RDCs and retailers.
• Complete paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Report delays, issues or load discrepancies to the Transport team at start of shift.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects; ensure temperature monitoring when required.
• Maintain professional customer service and comply with health, safety and tachograph rules.

Job description

We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our chilled distribution operation based in Evesham. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who want a structured 4 on 4 off shift pattern, regular work and the chance to be part of a busy, established transport operation delivering to major retail distribution centres across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Average shifts are around 11 hours, depending on route and operational requirements, and additional shifts may be available for drivers who want to increase their earnings.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out chilled distribution deliveries to main retail RDCs nationwide
• Delivering to key customer sites including major UK retailers
• Completing self-tip deliveries where required, including breaking down pallets at certain sites.
• Collecting equipment or returns from customer locations and bringing them back to site.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
