Job description

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced HGV/LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. You will be undertaking the delivery and collection of products on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers, providing a first-class service with our team in Coalville. The night shift will include the use of a Moffett Truck to support our customer in the delivery of vehicle glass repair and replacement.

*** Ideally, we are looking for someone with a minimum of a Counterbalance licence; however, we can provide full FLT training for the right applicant, with a contractual agreement that if you terminate your contract within 2 years, payment will be reimbursed. ***

What You Really Want To Know:

• An additional bonus of over £2,000 per annum for using a Moffett Licence will be paid.
• Sunday to Thursday shift pattern.
• Start Times: 22:00-01:00.
• The holiday allowance is 28 days, including bank holidays.
• Overtime is available.
• Parking Onsite.

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice standards, delivering and collecting to/from our customer’s premises or other MDS locations.
• Delivering products on behalf of MDS and their customers.
• Use of electronic POD and up-to-date technology (full training provided).
• Assisting with loading and unloading.
• Use of Moffett truck during night shift.

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements:

• A full UK C+E licence.
• At least 12 months of previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Excellent driving skills.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and WTD regulations.
