Job summary

Staffline is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a major client in the HGV sector. You will perform pre- and post-trip checks, maintain delivery logs, and ensure compliance with safety and driving regulations.

Shifts start early, with weekday, weeknight, and weekend pay scales. Rates range by shift, with consolidated rates also published. On-site support and clear progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No DS/DR code convictions, no more than 6 points.
• Excellent communication skills, able to conduct vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements and driver’s hours & WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Job description

Apply today to work as an HGV Class 1 Driver for a major client in the HGV industry.

Rates of pay vary by day and shift:

• Weekday £15.38 per hour
• Weeknight £17.42 per hour
• Saturday £17.94 per hour
• Sunday £18.45 per hour

Consolidated rates from £17.23 – £20.60 per hour.

Day shifts working Tuesday to Friday, start times between 2 am – 6 am.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.
