Job summary

Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Day Driver to work in the Coleshill area, Warwickshire. This is a Monday to Friday day shifts role with ongoing work and weekly pay.

You will deliver palletised freight to commercial customers, complete POD and delivery documentation, and perform daily vehicle checks while maintaining a high level of customer service on site.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Day Driver to work with one of our long-established customers based in the Coleshill area.

Our customer is a respected logistics and freight operator with a strong reputation for service excellence, modern vehicles and long-term investment in its drivers.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Day Driver seeking ongoing work with a professional transport operation that genuinely looks after its workforce. Many drivers have gone on to secure permanent positions, and the contract enjoys excellent driver feedback and retention.

Pay Rates

• £17.00 per hour PAYE
• £19.05 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
• Monday to Friday shifts
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing work available

Holiday Pay Options

This vacancy offers a choice of:

• Standard PAYE with holiday accrued separately
• Rolled-up holiday pay, increasing your hourly rate to £19.05 per hour

This gives you flexibility to choose the payment option that works best for your circumstances.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Typical shift lengths of 8-12 hours

HGV Class 1 Day Driver Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Day Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing 5-8 deliveries and collections per day
• Delivering palletised freight to commercial customers
• Operating tail lift equipment safely
• Collecting empty cages from delivery locations
• Completing POD and delivery documentation accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Providing excellent customer service on site
• Maintaining a professional image at all times
• Working in line with drivers’ hours and transport regulations

This role sits within the fast-paced logistics industry and offers a varied working day with plenty of customer interaction.

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Day Driver position, you must have:

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver legislation
• Professional and customer-focused attitude
• Reliable and punctual approach to work
