Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in Belfast (BT36) for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers on a temp to perm basis. You will transport palletised parcels between sub‑depots and delivery units, completing around 34 runs per shift.

Salary is £18.24 per hour PAYE. The role requires a full UK HGV Class 1 licence, CPC/Digital Tachograph, 6 points max, and a strong safety focus. WTD knowledge and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
• Valid and in‑date DCPC (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence; minor offences only.
• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting palletised parcels to sub‑depots and delivery units.
• Completing approximately 34 runs per shift.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records.
• Assisting with loading and unloading using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Pay & Shifts

• HGV Class 1 Days: £18.24 per hour PAYE
• Start Time:10am to 11am
• Job Type: Temp to Perm
• Location: Belfast, BT36

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting palletised parcels to and from sub‑depots and delivery units.

Your duties will include:

• Safely handling and transporting palletised packages to sub‑depots.
• Completing approximately 34 runs per shift.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records.
• Assisting with loading and unloading the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.
• Providing professional and courteous customer service.
• Representing the company in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
• Valid and in‑date DCPC (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence minor offences only.
• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
• Willingness to complete a short driving assessment.
