Job summary

A W Jenkinson Transport Ltd is seeking a reliable Class 1 Night Driver for a full-time role based at our Runcorn Depot. The work is straightforward, with mainly fixed routes and a modern Scania fleet, offering predictable schedules and overtime opportunities if desired.

You will have LGV C+E, DCPC and tachograph, and a maximum of 6 penalty points. We provide guaranteed weekly income, meal allowance, training, uniform and PPE, pension, life cover and 28 days of holiday, plus a £500 driver

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with LGV C+E (Class 1) category.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• Valid DCPC & digital tachograph card.
• Good understanding of UK & EU drivers' hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 night routes on fixed schedules.
• Ensure safe and compliant driving practices.
• Complete trips with fixed routes and handovers.

The Role

• Straightforward Class 1 work Chipliner (curtain-sider)
• Mostly fixed routes & repeat routes
• A mixture of tip & load and trailer swaps, both with bulk and palletised loads
• Monday to Friday shifts - no weekends other than optional overtime at an enhanced rate
