Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Kingston upon Hull is seeking a Class 1 (CE) driver for a leading client in the Hull area. The role involves moving ambient and chilled products in box trailers to ports around the Humber region and across the UK; nights out may be required.

After a 14-week probation, the position becomes full-time. Applicants should hold a CE Licence with at least 12 months experience, a CPC, and a Digital Tacho, with no more than 6 licence points.

Qualifications

• No DDs, DRs or IN10s
• Good understanding of Working Time Directives (WTDs)
• Good knowledge of HASAW (Health and Safety at Work)
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Humber Region

Responsibilities

• Move ambient/chilled products in box trailers to ports around the Humber Region and across the UK.
• Nights out may be required to meet delivery times.
• May drive Class 2 vehicles or a van as required.
• Hours vary with start times between 03:00 and 06:00 and 10–12 hour shifts over a 7 day period.
• After a 14-week probation, the role becomes full-time.

Job description

The Best Connection - Hull, are seeking to recruit a Class 1 (CE) driver for our prestigious Client in the Hull area.

The role will involve the movement of ambient/chilled products in box trailers to ports around the Humber Region and across the UK.

Due to the nature of the work, flexibility is the key as nights out will be required to pacify delivery times.

Working as part of a team, you may also be required to driver Class 2 vehicles or van as and required.

Hours of work will vary with start times between 03:00 and 06:00 and 10 to 12 hour shifts depending on work load over a 7 day period with weekend work available when required.

If successful and after a 14 week probation period, this will be a full time position.

Driver requirements:

CE Licence (Min 12 months)

CPC

Digital Tacho

No more than 6 points on licence

No DD's, DR,s or IN10's

Good understanding of WTDs (Working Time Directives)

High regards to HASAW (Health and Safety at Work)
