Job summary

Qualifications

• HGV driving experience is essential.
• C+E licence and Driver CPC qualification required.
• Tachograph card up to date and compliance with HGV regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a two-person delivery team to ensure high-standard deliveries.
• Maintain fleet compliance and health and safety standards; liaise with transport office daily.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report faults to the transport office.

Job description

Working as part of a two-person crew, you will be required to undertake occasional manual handling and heavy lifting as part of the role. This role will be working night shifts starting from (20:00) Critical purpose of role:

• To work as part of a two-person delivery team to ensure all deliveries are of high standard
• To ensure fleet compliance and health and safety standards are adhered to and continuously improved, Constantly communicate with the transport office regarding daily activities.
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety at the workplace.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your transport office team.
• Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit.
• Take full responsibility of operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
• Ensure that Van Delivery Porters proactively makes customer phone calls with ETA's, & keeps records of deliveries.
• Take extra care with products to ensure goods are delivered damage free. More than 1-year experience in HGV driving
• Hold a valid C+E UK Driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Hold an up-to-date Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC Qualification
• Comfortable with manual handling, as this is a physically demanding role
• Good customer service skills and a professional attitude
