Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a Lincoln-based logistics business. The role involves delivering trunking and single-drops on weekdays, with day and night shifts available and a typical shift length of 8–10 hours.

You will be responsible for safe driving, completing paperwork, and ensuring deliveries meet timescales. UK applicants only, with comprehensive weekly pay and 28 days annual leave pro-rata.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of a well-established logistics and distribution business based in Lincoln.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for consistent Monday to Friday work, completing straightforward trunking and single-drop deliveries.

The Role

You will be responsible for transporting goods between designated locations, completing straightforward single-drop deliveries rather than multiple drops throughout the day.

Duties will include:

• Driving a modern HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and professionally.
• Completing trunking and single-drop deliveries to designated destinations.
• Transporting goods between depots, distribution centres and customer locations.
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and within allocated timescales.
• Completing all relevant delivery paperwork and digital records.
• Maintaining compliance with drivers’ hours, tachograph regulations and road transport legislation.

Hourly Rate: £15 p/hOvertime paid at time and a half.Weekly pay28 days annual leave pro-rata

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday.
• Typically 8–10 hours per shift.
• Day and/or night shifts available depending on operational requirements.
• Consistent weekday work with no requirement for regular weekend availability

Experience & Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
