Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting experienced HGV drivers for agency work based in Newton Abbot. Roles are Monday to Friday with a 07:00 start, offering weekly pay and a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per shift.

Class 1 drivers may perform Class 2 duties as required; flexibility is valued for various assignments. Drivers must hold a UK HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card, with at least one year of HGV experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely.
• Completing delivery paperwork and transport documentation.
• Providing a professional service during deliveries and collections.
• Complying with transport legislation and health and safety requirements.

About the Role

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting experienced HGV Drivers for agency driving work based in Newton Abbot.

This is agency-driving work with regular ad hoc shifts available. You will be working Monday to Friday with an 07:00 start. The role offers weekly pay and a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours paid per shift. Class 1 Drivers may be asked to complete Class 2 work depending on the assignment, so this role is best suited to someone flexible and comfortable with both types of vehicle. Class 2 Drivers are also welcome to apply if they only hold a Category C licence.

Class 1 applicants must be happy to drive Class 2 vehicles when needed.

Experience with palletised goods, curtain-sider vehicles, tail lifts or ADR would be useful, but such experience is not essential unless required for a specific assignment.

• £17.37 to £18.49 per hour PAYE Advance
• Other PAYE models are available
