HGV Class 1 ADR Night Trunk Driver – Ongoing Contract

We’re currently recruiting a professional Class 1 ADR Night Trunk Driver to join our logistics team in Mansfield, NG18 on an ongoing, full-time contract. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for consistent night work, excellent pay, and a well-run operation with no weekend commitments.

You’ll be trunking ADR-packaged goods (classes 6.1 & 6.2) between secure depots. No multi-drop. No handball. Just steady, well-organised trunk routes with proper facilities, well-maintained vehicles, and support from a dedicated transport team.

Role Overview:

Operate a Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicle with curtain-sided trailers
Transport hazardous packaged goods (ADR categories 6.1 & 6.2 – typically medical and chemical items)
Conduct 2 trunk runs per night between secure depots or RDCs
Strap and secure the load correctly at each stop
Open and close curtains as required
Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and compliance with ADR transport regulations
Shift Pattern & Rates:

Night shifts only – Monday to Friday
Start time: 19:00 (approx. 10–12 hour shifts)
Great Pay Rates: £20.00 per hour (PAYE) or £25.00 per hour (PAYE Umbrella)
Weekly pay with accurate timekeeping and mileage records
No weekend or bank holiday working
Requirements:

Full UK Category C+E licence
Minimum 12 months recent HGV Class 1 experience (essential)
Valid ADR licence (packages) covering classes 6.1 and 6.2
Digital tacho card and full CPC
A strong understanding of health & safety and ADR compliance
Reliable, self-motivated and professional approach
