Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver registered at the Wolverhampton depot to safely operate an artic curtain-sider with tail lift, loading and transporting fridges and electrical waste across the region.

The role runs Monday to Friday (05:00 start), with a 30-minute unpaid break. Base pay is £14.50 per hour with overtime at 1.5x after 45 hours, plus daily meal allowances and occasional bonuses. Excellent overtime and bonus potential can boost weekly earnings.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E licence & Driver CPC card.
• Current ADR licence required.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK drivers' hours rules and load securing.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 Artic vehicles with tail lifts safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and CPC/tachograph compliance.
• Secure curtain-side loads prior to transport.
• Maintain clear communication with transport desk and site teams.

About the Role

Pay & Perks

• Base Pay: £14.50 per hour

• Overtime: x1.5 after 45 hours worked per week

• Meal Allowance: £3.00 daily allowance

• Early Start Bonus: £10.00 extra per day

• Night Out Allowance: £26.50 per night (tramping - occasional/when required, not mandatory)

The Role & Schedule

• Hours: Monday to Friday (05:00 start until finish)

• Route Stability: Reliable weekly working patterns with a supportive local transport team

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements
