Job summary

Solvit Recruitment are seeking an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver for a temp-to-perm role based in Leicester. You will mainly drive a Class 2 and cover Class 1 when needed, with early start times and possible weekend overtime.

The role includes deliveries, collections, and ensuring loads are secured in curtainsiders, with strict adherence to hazardous waste transport regulations. Salary notes show tiered rates with overtime and a projected annual pay of around £47k, reflecting 50-hour weeks and overtime.

Qualifications

• 2 years C&E experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• ADR certificate required; CPC and Tachograph knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Drive hazardous waste transport routes and handle deliveries/collections.
• Ensure loads are secured in curtainsider and curtains closed.
• Comply with all traffic regulations and hazardous waste transport rules.

Solvit Recruitment are looking for HGV Class 1 ADR Driver.Temp to Perm.You will be mainly driving a Class 2 and covering the Class 1 when needed.Location Leicester.Are you looking for a full-time job?Are you happy with the occasional night out?You will have the opportunity for an Interview where you will meet the team learn more about the role and have the opportunity to ask your own questions.Working for a UK market leader for hazardous and specialist waste who operates a Total Waste Management division, which offers a full-service solution from site visits and sampling to container supply and transportation.

Working Monday to Friday start times between 04:00 – 07:00 with the option of weekends when required. Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.You will have deliveries and collections throughout your working day you will have a curtainsider where you will make sure the load is secure and close the curtains; every day will be different, planned nights out required, which are planned.

Ensuring full compliance with all current regulations concerning the transportation of hazardous waste materials.

Rate of Pay:

• Monday to Friday £16.50 after 40 hours you will be paid £24.75.
• Saturday £24.75
• Sunday £33.00

Based on 50 hours yearly Salary £47,120.

You may be in a HGV Class 1 or 2, experience in both is essential.

Requirements

• Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Tanker driver experience.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication oral and written.
• Complete all paperwork.
• 2 years C&E experience.
• In date ADR certificate.
• CPC and Tacho.
• No DR, DD, TT or IN10.
