HGV Chargehand Technician

Biffa Waste - Cullham Depot

Salary: £21.35p/h
Shift Pattern: 6.00 to 19:30 / 08:00 - 17:30 - Overtime & Call Out Available

Join our team and be part of the iconic Biffa fleet, known for our "Big Red Trucks" with over 100 years of history, keeping the UK moving.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. Additionally, you will carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments. Our diverse fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets, providing excellent opportunities to develop your technical skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Fully skilled with a full level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification
• Technician level
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence
• HGV licence (desirable)
• IRTEC qualification (desirable)
