Job summary

Driver Resource recruitment is seeking Class 1 Day & Night Drivers to operate out of Crick, Northamptonshire on a temporary ongoing basis. Shifts run 06:00–12:00 and 21:00–00:00 with average 55 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, no weekends. Positions include day deliveries/collections and some unloading assistance.

Requires C+E licence with up to 6 points, and no disqualifying convictions. Pay rates: Day (£16.81 base, £20.05 OT) and Night (£19.52 base, £23.34 OT).

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience with HGV C+E Licence.
• No more than 6 points on driving licence.
• No DD, IN or CD convictions codes.

Responsibilities

• Day shifts consist of both Delivery and Collections between Customer sites in a curtainsided vehicle. Maximum 10 stops per shift. Drivers may need to assist with some unloading of freight with the use of an electric pump truck; this is rare.
• The position entails the movement of car parts to depots in cages in a curtainsided vehicle. The Driver will have key holder responsibilities.

We are currently seeking to recruit Class 1 Day & Night Drivers to work with our Client on a temporary ongoing basis out of Crick, Northamptonshire.

Shift Schedule

• Start time; 06:00 - 12:00 Days 21:00 - 00:00 Nights
• Day shift start times vary between 06:00 - 12:00.
• Night Start times vary between 21:00 - 23:00.
• All shifts Monday - Friday. No weekend work.
• Average 55 hours per week

Contract & Pay

• Contract length: Ongoing – no end date
• Rates of pay (Holiday pay separate):
• Days: Standard Rate (£16.81) – First 45 hours, Overtime Rate (£20.05)
• Nights: Standard Rate (£19.52) – First 45 hours, Overtime Rate (£23.34)

Job Duties

• Category C+E Driving Licence Max 9 points/endorsements
