Overview

Big wheels, Big Tech, Big opportunity! At Ocado Logistics it's our mission to change the way the world shops for groceries and it all starts with our HGV drivers. Our state of the art fleet includes options powered by natural gas for specific routes and is fitted with extra safety technology. Our HGV Drivers play a crucial role collecting and distributing shopping across our network of Customer Fulfilment centres (CFCs) and smaller regional warehouse sites.

We do not offer multi-drops, so there are no hidden lanes. Our drivers work overnight, late in the day, and/or early in the morning, including weekends.

What you’ll do

• Drive and operate our fleet to deliver and collect products to and from various locations across the UK.
• Support distribution to and from our Customer Fulfilment centres and regional sites.
• Adhere to shift patterns, safety standards and company policies.

Work pattern and hours

You have the option to work 32 hours over 4 days or 40 hours over 5 days. Routes are assigned up to 12.5 hours per day with potential for additional hours as needed. Starting windows are: 19:00 - 23:00 and 23:00 - 03:00. These are starting windows, not contracted hours.

Requirements

• A passion for driving and trucks/lorries with a category C+E driving licence.
• A safe and competent driver who can be flexible with daily shift length.
• New site set up for HGV; currently only accepting drivers with a minimum of 6 months driving experience.

Pay structure

Paid on a lunar 4-week cycle. Basic hourly rate: £18.48. Evening premium (18:00-06:00): £20.48. Sunday premium: £20.22. Sunday evening premium: £22.42. Overtime (Mon-Sat, Day Shift): £23.10. Overtime evening (18:00-06:00): £25.60.
