Renault Trucks in Swindon invites applications for the Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Technician (HGV) programme. This is a 3-year apprenticeship combining hands-on workshop training and development of diagnostics and EV system skills.

You will train at the Renault Trucks UK Training Academy, with assessments, and an internationally recognised qualification upon completion. Full-time apprenticeship with a clear career path in the commercial vehicle sector.

Qualifications

• Pass Level 1 English and Maths (or exemption)
• Training at Renault Trucks UK Training Academy
• Regular assessments and reviews in workplace to support progression

Responsibilities

• Work in the workshop learning vehicle repair and maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for MOT
• Overhaul major components
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission and electrical faults
• Commission and decommission high voltage systems on battery electric vehicles
• Ensure health and safety standards
