The Ashcourt Group is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join Ashcourt Logistics in Pocklington. You will operate an 8 wheel tipper, prioritising safety, reliability and on-time deliveries while maintaining professional conduct on and off-site.

This hands-on role involves daily checks, adherence to planned routes and schedules, and clear communication with transport teams. Nights-out availability is required to meet project needs, with ongoing training to develop your driving craft.

Qualifications

• Valid entitlement to drive a class of HGV appropriate for 8 wheel tipper work.
• Experience in driving heavy goods vehicles with a good safety record.
• A good understanding of walk-round checks, defect reporting and maintaining compliance.
• Strong awareness of driver hours, legal compliance, and safe driving standards.
• Reliable timekeeping, a professional attitude and the willingness to work as part of a wider team.
• Confidence in navigating in and around industrial and construction environments.

Responsabilités

• Operate an 8 wheel tipper safely and efficiently, delivering materials as required with nights out
• Complete daily checks and maintain high standards for vehicle condition, cleanliness and road readiness.
• Follow planned routes and schedules, ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
• Secure loads correctly and comply with site rules, weighbridge procedures and loading/unloading requirements.
• Communicate professionally with transport teams, site personnel and colleagues to keep operations running smoothly.
• Represent the business with confidence and courtesy—because your conduct on the road and at sites matters.
