Job summary

A logistics company is looking for an experienced HGV 7.5T Driver in Silverstone. This role involves multi-drop deliveries, ensuring load safety, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must have a valid driving license and up-to-date CPC. The pay rate is £13.00 per hour for PAYE.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license with a maximum of 6 points is required.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries is essential.
• Up to date CPC and Drivers Card are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Helping to load vehicles and planning best routes.
• Carrying out all daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries (1 - 6 Drops).
• Organising Delivery Paperwork and ensuring delivery notes are signed.
• Keeping vehicle clean and providing excellent customer service.

Skills

Experience of multi drop deliveries

Experience of load safety, including strapping

Good customer facing skills

Knowledge of Tacho Rules and Working Times

Able to organise and manage workload well

Temp to Perm Opportunity



Duties

• Helping to load vehicles, ensuring orders are complete, and planning best routes.


• Carrying out all daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects to the relevant person.


• Carry out multi drop deliveries (1 - 6 Drops) and unloading vehicle by hand where required.


• Organising Delivery Paperwork and ensuring, where possible, delivery notes are signed and returned to the Transport Office.


• Keeping vehicle clean.


• Provide excellent customer service.

Key Skills

• Experience of multi drop deliveries.


• Experience of load safety, including strapping.


• Good customer facing skills


• Knowledge of Tacho Rules and Working Times


• Able to organise and manage workload well


• A valid driving licence, with a maximum of 6 points.


• Up to date CPC and Drivers Card.

Pay Rate

£13.00 per hour (PAYE) / £14.57 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
