Driver Hire Edinburgh City is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver for East Lothian. The role is a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with a 6:15am start, offering temp-to-perm opportunities and regular pay. Overtime is available and permanent prospects exist for successful candidates.

Ideal applicants hold a UK Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and Tachograph card, with prior skip/waste driving experience preferred. East Lothian, Musselburgh area-based candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently seeking an experienced and dependable HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management and recycling operation in East Lothian.

Working Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• 6:15am start times
• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Overtime available
• Temp-to-perm opportunity for successful candidates

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 2 skip vehicle throughout East Lothian and surrounding areas
• Delivering, exchanging, and collecting skips from commercial and domestic customers
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times

Pay Rates

PAYE

• £15.00 per hour
• £19.99 per hour after 8 hours

PAYE Advanced

• £16.81 per hour
• £22.40 per hour after 8 hours

Guaranteed minimum 40-hour week

• Weekly pay
• Ongoing work with permanent prospects

What You'll Need
