Job description

We're seeking skilled and reliable HGV 2 Day Drivers to join our team. You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.

This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. Experience is preferred, as well as a proven track record in commercial driving.

Pay: £17.26 per hour

Monday - Friday

05:00 starts

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.

Deliveries for a well known frozen food manufacture in Chepstow

05:00 starts daily delivering to multiple locations

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures while on the road.

Experience

Valid commercial driving licence (C ) is essential.

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable.

Familiarity with driving HGV 2 is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
