Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking HGV Class 2 drivers for a client based in Newbridge (near Edinburgh). You will oversee unloading, obtain signed Proofs of Delivery, and verify load security and weight distribution at the start and end of each shift.

You must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence (max 6 points), Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph card. Knowledge of the Working Time Directive and multi‑drop experience are essential; experience with steel is a plus. Shift is days, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points).
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card is required.
• Knowledge of the Working Time Directive is essential.
• Multi-Drop experience is preferred.
• Experience working with steel is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
• Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned.
• Check load security and weight distribution at start/end of each shift.
• Ensure that delivery vehicles are maintained to Company standards and defect reporting is up to date.
• Ensure vehicles are in a safe condition and daily checks are completed before use.

Manpower is currently looking for HGV 2 drivers to work with one of our clients based in Newbridge (near Edinburgh). Specific tasks will include:

• Overseeing the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
• Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned
• Check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
• Ensuring vehicles are in a safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner.

Essential Skills for the role:

• To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points)
• Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Knowledge of working time directive
• Multi-Drop experience
• Experience working with Steel

Hours of work will be dayshift Monday to Friday.
