Job Overview

Surecall Recruitment is recruiting HGV 2 drivers for a well-known client based in Rayleigh. The role involves the safe and efficient delivery of flooring products within London, requiring strong safety commitment, excellent driving skills, and navigation abilities.

Responsibilities

1. Operate a lorry safely, complying with road regulations.
2. Deliver flooring products punctually while providing excellent customer service.
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
4. Load, unload, and secure cargo properly.
5. Keep accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and fuel.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
7. Follow all safety and operational policies.

Pay and Schedule

£20/hour, Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00 am.

Qualifications

1. Valid UK HGV Class 2 or 1 license with appropriate categories.
2. Up-to-date CPC and Digi Card.
3. Clean license with minimal points and no major endorsements.
4. Experience in commercial driving, preferably with rigid or flat-bed vehicles.
5. Knowledge of UK road safety regulations and navigation, especially in London.
6. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks.
7. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
8. Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
