Driver Hire Edinburgh City is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for a fixed back-shift trunking role in Dunbar. The successful candidate will operate a consistent Dunbar–Sunderland route, pick up empties, and return with loads, starting at 1:00pm from Monday to Friday.

Competitive pay is offered: £19.20 per hour PAYE or £21.51 per hour PAYE Advanced, with a guaranteed minimum of 9 hours per shift and ongoing, fixed contract work with regular start times and well-maintained vehicles.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence held for at least 1 year.
• Min. 90 days Class 1 driving in last 12 months.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card are required.
• No more than 6 penalty points total; max 3 on any single offence.
• Must be 21+ years old.

Responsabilités

• Operate back shift trunk from Dunbar to Sunderland.
• Collect empty trailer from Dunbar and deliver to Sunderland.

The Role

• Back shift trunk from Dunbar to Sunderland
• Collect an empty trailer from Dunbar
• Deliver to Sunderland
• Return to Dunbar with a loaded trailer

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 1 year

• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• A maximum of 6 penalty points, with no more than 3 points for any single offence
• No DD, DG, DR, IN or CD endorsements due to insurance requirements
• Must be 21 years of age or over
• Reliable, professional and punctual
