Job summary

Recruit4staff represents a well-established manufacturer in their search for HGV 1/HGV 2 Drivers to work in Wrexham. The role involves operating curtain-sided lorries, transporting goods safely and efficiently, and coordinating with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

Pay is £15.00 per hour for Class 2 and £16.00 per hour for Class 1, with day or tram[ping] shifts available. This is temporary (casual, ad hoc) work with shifts determined by delivery routes.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence is essential.
• Valid CPC Card required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points with no DR or DG endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate curtain-sided lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently.
• Plan delivery routes and communicate with dispatchers and customers.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with road regulations.
• Load and unload cargo securely and maintain accurate driving records.
• Obtain electronic and physical proof of delivery.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or Commercial Driver
• Experience operating curtain-sided vehicles
