HGV 1 Driver with HIAB (Brick Grab)

PAYE Salary : £42,000 - £48,000 plus Bonuses and incentives.

Location: Norwich.

Shift : Monday - Friday with 3-4 nights out.

Job Title: HGV 1 Driver with HIAB (Brick Grab)

Driver Hire NORWICH are currently recruiting an HGV1 driver with Hiab to work with a client of ours located in Norwich. This is for a permanent position. Previous experience in HGV 1 driving and using an Hiab with a Brick Grab attachment is essential.

The Role:

You will delivering bricks / blocks as well as transporting steel and timber up and down the country using an Hiab on a flatbed trailer. Along side driving your duties will include using a Hiab , panning delivery schedules and routes with the transport manager, loading /unloading or supervising vehicle loading / unloading and making sure the load is secured using ratchet straps. You will complete all driver checks etc, complete delivery paperwork using a mobile app.

You will be working Monday - Friday , no weekend work but must be prepared for 3 - 4 nights out per week. You will be customer facing so need good customer service.

The Requirements:

• Full UK HGV 1Driving Licence.


• Current CPC and Digital Tacho card.


• Experience in using an Hiab.


• Hiab Certificate.


• Previous 2 years HGV 1 driving.


• Held HGV 1 licence for 2 years minimum.


• No more than 6 points of licence, and no CD, IN, DD or DR endorsement codes.


• Excellent knowledge of Driving Hours and WTR.


• Minimum PPE , Steel toecaps, Hi Vis, Hard hat.
