Job summary

HGV 1 Drivers are required in Avonmouth for ongoing weekday work with a prestigious client. Work is Monday to Friday with start times between 08:30 and 09:00 and usually finishing between 17:00 and 18:00. Pay is £18.00–£19.00 per hour, with approximately 57 drops daily.

Deliveries are typically backed onto bays and unloaded by forklift. This customer-facing position requires a professional approach, regular client liaison, and timely updates on delays or changes.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements
• Minimum of two years Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points
• Previous pallet-network or similar multidrop experience would be highly beneficial
• Valid Class 1 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Confident completing paperwork accurately
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Able to represent both our agency and the client to a high standard

We are currently recruiting two experienced HGV 1 Drivers for ongoing work with a prestigious and highly respected client.

The role

• Monday to Friday

• Normally finished between 17:00 and 18:00

• Ongoing work until approximately January/February
• Approximately 57 drops per day
• Deliveries are generally backed onto bays and unloaded by forklift
• Afternoon duties may include a trailer swap or a small number of collections
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Keeping the transport team updated regarding delays or changes throughout the day

This is a customer-facing position, so you must be professional, approachable and confident communicating with customers. You will also need to maintain regular contact with the client, provide updates when required and report any delays or issues promptly.

Driver requirements
