Job summary

NHS Highland Inverness is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to provide a high-standard physiotherapy service for children up to 19 with neurodevelopmental disabilities in the Highland area.

You will work within a multidisciplinary child health team, liaising with education and social services to deliver integrated care, and contribute to specialist treatment planning and training as required.

Qualifications

• To provide an efficient and effective physiotherapy service to children up to 19, with primarily a neurodevelopmental disability, within the postholder's geographic responsibilities.
• To establish and develop close links with the multidisciplinary child health team, education and social services.
• To assess, plan, implement and monitor specialist physiotherapy treatment/management programmes.

Salary Scale: £21,615 - £26,339 p.a. (£43,231 - £52,679 pro rata)

To provide an efficient and effective physiotherapy service to children of all ages up to 19, if still in school, with primarily a neurodevelopmental disability, and may include complex physical disability, illness or injury within the geographical boundaries for which the postholder has responsibility.

To establish and develop close links and working relationships with other members of the multi-disciplinary child health team, education and social services, ensuring the provision of high quality physiotherapy services.

To assess, plan, implement and monitor specialist physiotherapy treatment/management programmes for this client group. To provide advice and training for this team around the child.
