The role..

Step into a vital, brand new role at the heart of ITV Studios UK Finance as the HETV Financial Accountant. You'll own the end-to-end financial management of High-End Television (HETV) production entities, bringing precision, clarity, and energy to a complex and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Head of Studios UK Finance Hub, with a dotted line to the Financial Controller, you'll be the go-to expert driving process excellence, standardisation, and financial integrity. This is your chance to shape and streamline critical accounting processes, partner with diverse teams across ITV, and play a key role in delivering robust financial controls that keep our high-profile productions running smoothly and successfully.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Own the full financial lifecycle of all in-house HETV production entities, ensuring compliance with ITV policies
  • Act as subject matter expert on accounting, AVEC, tax credits, and ITV processes to ensure accuracy
  • Manage entity setup, intercompany accounting, audits, AVEC claims, year-end accounting, and entity closures
  • Collaborate with Studios Finance Hub, GFO RTR, Tax, Treasury, and other teams for process alignment
  • Lead process design, optimisation, and documentation, defining clear workflows and controls
  • Drive change management by communicating updates, maintaining docs, and delivering training
  • Embed risk management and compliance to meet internal controls, audit, and regulatory standards

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven finance/accounting background with solid knowledge of statutory accounting, control frameworks, and financial processes
  • Experience owning end-to-end processes and maintaining comprehensive process documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process standardisation and continuous improvement
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Knowledge of HETV accounting and AVEC principles would be highly advantageous
  • Working experience with Oracle Fusion suite is desirable
  • Familiarity with workflow tools, such as AirTable
  • A background in the television production industry would be beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build credibility across all levels and teams
  • Proven ability to lead change, influence decisions, and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Highly organised, proactive, with strong attention to detail and a results-focused mindset
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and Google Suite
