Job summary

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is recruiting a Heritage Place Manager within the Culture and Heritage Service. You will lead a portfolio of arts and heritage projects and National Lottery bids, ensuring delivery within time, cost and quality standards while line-managing the Heritage Engagement Officer.

You will work with partners and funders, oversee procurement, KPI monitoring and reporting to funders, and drive a culture of compliance and engagement across Borough sites including

Qualifications

• Degree in Arts, Culture and Heritage with relevant sector experience.
• 5+ years commissioning, managing and evaluating projects in arts/heritage.
• Experience with public sector funding bodies and grant bids.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of heritage projects and National Lottery bids.
• Line-manage the Heritage Engagement Officer and coordinate with partners.
• Deliver projects on time, to budget, and to quality standards.
• Prepare bids, reports and KPI evidence for funders including HLF.
